Phoenix College, a non-residential urban 2 year college in the heart of downtown Phoenix, is currently accepting applications for a full time Head Football Coach, Athletics Specialist position. Phoenix College is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association and competes in the Western States Football League. This position reports directly to the Director of Athletics and is responsible for all aspects of the football program including; administrative duties related to the program, recruitment of student athletes, fund raising in support of scholarship and budgets, cooperation and communication with: administrators, staff, faculty advisors, equipment managers and athletic trainers, enforcement of college, department and team rules and codes of conduct, and coordination of placement of student athletes in 4 yr colleges and universities.
The successful candidate must demonstrate strong organizational skills and will have 5 years of football coaching experience, no less than 3 as a coordinator, at the varsity high school level or above. Head coaching experience at the varsity high school level or above preferred. Two year college football coaching experience preferred. Bachelor degree required, Master’s degree is preferred. Non-negotiable starting annual salary for this 12 month position is $40,184.00 with benefits. Position includes standard MCCD benefit package.
