Human Resources Manager

Herman grew up in Aurora Illinois, a western Chicago suburb. He attended Aurora University and was a member of the Aurora Spartans basketball team, serving as team captain for the last two years. Herman received his bachelor's degree in physical education in 1978.

Herman moved to Riverside California in 1980. He taught students with special needs and coach basketball at several high schools and was an assistant coach at California Baptist University.

In 1995 Herman moved to Tucson with his family and started his tenure as an athletic administrator at Tucson High Magnet School. He received his Master's degree and his administrative credentials at NAU in 2004.

Herman earned his Certified Athletic Administrator Certification  and was voted into the AIAAA Hall of Fame. Recently Herman was voted into the Pima County Sports Hall of Fame as he retired from 25 years in Tucson Unified School District.
